Stayed 1 night. Very quiet and peaceful in the wet season.Price was way too high for what was presented. The floors were appalling and the room could have been so much more inviting and cozy if there was proper attention to detail in design and cleaning. I went into the mini bar and found an already opened alcoholic beverage that was filled with water and placed in the fridge. Again.. attention to detail. The swimming pool was full of foliage and had no life guard. This pool was operated 24/7.The food. To pay $409 for 1 night you would expect to be able to select from a large menu what you want to eat. No. Instead they would tell you what you will be eating and if it isnt your cup of tea to head into town. You would also expect to have a free meal however you pay for all courses throughout the day. Dinner is $95 per person.Breakfast was $12 per person. The food was not cooked properly and not everything on the menu was presented on the plate. Also, dishes had marks from past meals and hair on them and hair on the food.The staff were friendly which lead me to giving this place 2 stars. Probably not worth your time or money until it has some serious renervations to its facilities and food services.
We were warmly welcomed and cared for by Carlos and Heven. The lodge was an oasis and peaceful retreat for our four day stay. Katherine Gorge dinner cruise was stunning at sunset. Continental breakfast was more than the usual fare. The two nights we ate at the restaurant were extremely enjoyable as the flavours of the food were very well orchestrated, especially when people need to consider the distance and conditions of this harsh but beautiful environment.
Top quality dining, in a peaceful and serene setting with a comfortable bed. Can't ask for more!
Amazing resort in Katherine. Cosy and personable service ..and the food is heavenly. The room is superbly appointed and you will have one of your best rain shower in North Territory... 2 thumbs up :)))
